Aunt Betty "81"

I recently visited my Aunt Betty for her 81st Birthday.  Where I want all the celebration possible for my birthday, Aunt Betty wants no fuss, no muss, low key birthdays.  She said if she knew I was planning a party, she'd leave town. What a lady! Well you just cannot run away from those who love you.  Aunt Betty received so many Birthday cards and phone calls, there is no way to deny that "She is loved". 

As far as years go...you'd never know that she is 81.  She is as much fun and as spry anyone 20 years her junior, including this adoring niece.  She is definitely a jewel.  I am only one of many nieces and nephews who grew up being loved and nurtured by her and our Uncle Gene.  All of our lives have been made much richer because of them.  They have definitely set the standard for us to live our lives.  I have said many times, "When I grow up, I want to be just like Aunt Betty."  Well, I'm still working on it.
